How To Use

The Nistaa® Barrier is designed to act as a barrier against water and NOT to be submerged under water.
The Nistaa® Barrier is non-sterile and should not come in direct contact with a wound. Cover wound with a primary dressing before applying the Nistaa® Barrier.
The Nistaa® Barrier may not provide a complete seal if there is lengthy extension tubing connected to your central line device. The lengthy extension tubing coiled onto the primary dressing may create a bulky environment which may prevent proper coverage of the area. Consult with your healthcare provider on whether or not you may disconnect the extension tubing before showering and reconnect it after showering.
The Nistaa® Barriers are single use only.
Do not remove or reposition the Nistaa® Barrier once applied to the skin.
Discontinue use if the patient has any skin irritation or adverse reaction to the Nistaa® Barrier and consult a healthcare provider.

Application:
  1. Remove hair and ensure that the area is clean and dry.
  2. Coil the central line tubing onto the primary dressing and secure with a piece of tape.
  3. Open the package and remove the Nistaa® Barrier.
  4. Position the Nistaa® Barrier to completely cover the existing dressing or device.
  5. Locate the non-adhesive clear cover tab. Remove the paper liner from that side and apply to skin. Ensuring that the adhesive border does not come in direct contact with the existing dressing or device.
  6. Remove the remaining paper liner and apply to skin.
  7. Locate the non-adhesive clear cover tab and gently remove it from the Nistaa® Barrier.
  8. Smooth out any visible wrinkles or air pockets on the adhesive border to ensure a proper seal.

Removal:
  1. Pat dry then gently peel the Nistaa® Barrier edges from the skin in the direction of hair growth.
  2. Discard after use.
